John Richardson

Welcome to the John Richardson State Farm Agency (J Rich Financial Services and Insurance Agency Inc ) in Chicago (South Suburbs- Oak Forest), Illinois! I grew up on a farm in Raeford, North Carolina, where I learned the values of hard work and dedication early on. In 2002, I was honored to be nominated by my state representative to attend the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, where I earned my degree in Economics.

After graduating, I served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps from 2007 to 2015, achieving the rank of Captain. My service included a 14-month deployment to Afghanistan, where I received numerous combat awards. Following my military career, I transitioned into corporate America, taking on executive roles in tech and financial services. I led teams to drive meaningful change and added value to both small and large businesses across the country.

Eager to further my education, I pursued an MBA from Cornell University’s S.C. Johnson School of Management. However, I soon realized my true passion lay in making a lasting impact in my community. This led me to become an agency owner for State Farm, where I focus on educating individuals about generational wealth through asset protection and strategic investing. I moved to Chicago in 2019 to foster more community and give back.
